Generating Contest Entries

A Diagnostic Report with 3-Month Editorial Calendar

In the summer of 2017. Northeast Arc was preparing to launch their inaugural Arc Tank Program. The competition was a quest to positively disrupt disability services. Funded by Steven P. Rosenthal's Changing Lives Fund, they sought entries from across the country.

EMC7 met with the team in late August to get started on a Diagnostic Report. With the entry deadline looming, we focused on driving awareness and entries for the competition. While we were initially tasked with providing a strategic analysis of the Arc Tank program, we ended up supplying them with a larger view of the types of work they should be doing across the agency. Our recommendations were delivered to the team and we are pleased to see many of those suggestions being implemented.

We then delivered a 3 month Editorial Calendar with content suggestions, keywords, hashtags, content sources to follow, and links to articles.

We were pleased to see some of those recommendations made as well.

Most importantly, we were able to attend the live event and award ceremony at JFK Library. We met the finalists and heard their presentations to the judging panel. We were able to learn about the 3 companies/organizations who were awarded funding to expand their work serving people with disabilities and their families.

We also were fortunate enough to meet some amazing people whose work was recognized as "Outside The Tank" - for being out-of-the-box thinkers. We are following their projects when possible. Some of their ideas were true game changers.

In the end, the best part of the project was being able to be part of a program that impacts so many lives. We are so grateful to Northeast Arc for hiring us for such a great job.
